The spiritual life exists not in understanding and knowledge;

but in feeling, being, living and doing.

Life is like a balancing act

we can minimize the teeter totter effect

by staying close to our center.

We are centered in GOD!

I began to know the truth about myself

when I started looking

at my story

instead of everyone else’s story.

DO NOT ATTACK

It is never necessary to attack. The only reason that I attack is to make someone else look less than so that I can look better than them. Each person has their niche in this world.

DO NOT DEFEND

It is never necessary to defend my position. When I am doing the right thing I do not even think of justifying why I am doing it. The only time that I defend or justify what I am doing is when I am doing something that is not right.

DO NOT COMPARE

If I compare myself with others I am never going to be equal with them. As is stated in the DESIDERATA, "If you compare yourself with others you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself." It is necessary for me to be equal with all in the fellowship of AA. Comparing is the way to feel unique and in feeling unique I lose my ability to be one of and one with.

DO NOT COMPETE

It is not necessary to compete to obtain your rightful place. Either God is or He isn't, either He is everything or He is nothing. He will see to it that we are given every good thing in this life. We are all equally children of God.

If I oppose anything that is not of God

I oppose something with no reality.

If it is real and I oppose it

I oppose God.

Therefore oppose nothing.

False humility is as destructive as false pride.

God,

help me to remember it is my place in your scheme of things,

not your place in my scheme of things.

Truly God will give no burden to great for you to bear . . . . .

you may, however, assume burdens not intended for you

on your own initiative.

I used to dream

of things I never did.

Now I do things

I never dreamed of.

I came for the moment and stayed the while.

The Love of God sustains me.

When I doubt this I withdraw from the protection of God's Love

and I am then subject to natural law.

Infinite GOD is everywhere, wherever GOD is all of GOD is there.

WHY AM I TESTED?

Any reason that I can find for believing that God is testing me

diminishes God - limits Him -

and He is Infinite - Limitless.

OR

Is He not testing us,

but instead preparing us for what He knows we must face;

OR

is it that God does not test us but-

rather that we test God.

FORGIVING AND RESENTMENT

CANNOT LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE.

IT IS EASIER TO FORGIVE THOSE YOU LOVE.

It is not necessary to forgive if you do not condemn in the first place.

So often I have been near the key and not perceived it.

Near - When I said, "I seek not God for salvation, but for companionship".

Near - With the miraculous healings that have occurred with prayers

of only praise and love.

Near - With the discontent felt in continuing prayers of supplication.

Near - with the awareness of Divine Love.

Now I have the key.

Love God for God!

Tabernacle with God to be with God!

Not for yourself, not for supply, not for enlightenment, not for cleansing,

Not for salvation, not for peace, not for receiving anything.

Just for the love of God for God!

O God – re-mint the coin of my being. Remove all other images from the face of my being and stamp me with the image of Thy Divine Love.

The spiritual illumination with which you will enter any next life will be that which you have acquired in this one.

True humility is in not comparing myself with any other.

To define God is to limit Him. To be God He must be unlimited.

Therefore God is un-definable.

There is no such thing as good or evil for those who love the Lord.

To strengthen the illusion of evil, fight it.

The halls of my life have resounded

with the indignant stamp of self-righteous feet.

Forgive those who act so, Father, they know not what they do.

FOR SOMETIMES THE FEET HAVE BEEN MY OWN.
