JANUARY WHISPERS FROM THE OTHER SIDE

January 1

Can a violin tune itself ?

No, it must be tuned by the musician

to achieve harmony!

January 2

God You have given

the gift of Yourself to me.

Can I give ought to You . . .

but myself?

January 3

I am always happy with what happens.  For that which God chooses is better than what I choose.

Epictetus

January 4

When I pray for reassurance in  difficult times I no longer request that my desires be fulfilled, but rather that I am not being misled and that what I am accepting be truly God's will.

January 5

Christ  was not seeking to avoid His commission when He prayed, "Father, if it be Thy will let this cup pass from me."  I believe, rather, that He wanted reassurance that what He felt it was necessary for Him to allow was surely God's will, for had it not been God's will it would have been an insignificant gesture on Christ's part.  I am sure that Christ chose this conclusion to His ministry, that He had the choice, and made it based upon the reassurance that it was indeed God's will.

January 6

God is spirit!

Man's communion with God must be on a spiritual level.

If a man has not attuned his spiritual channel

God cannot commune with him.

January 7

Those who do have spiritual contact with God can,

by removing themselves from the situation,

 provide a clear channel for God's Will to enter the physical world

through utilization of their spiritual surrender.

January 8

God does not use self - He replaces self thereby creating Self.

January 9

Lord I am willing

to be

the least in your

kingdom;

But-

if it be Thy  will

let it be

that I am not less

than the lowest

but rather that

all others are more !

January 10

When I go to the silence I do not need to take with me . . . .

a task to be performed, an error to be corrected, a healing to be obtained,

a subject for healing, a consciousness of any need, a desire to be used,

an expectation of illumination, an expectation of heightened awareness,

  an expectation of forgiveness for myself or another,

an expectation of a miracle or a sign.

No!

Go in silence to watch God do the works.

I do not ask, I do not seek, I am not answered, I do not do.

God's Grace is all-sufficient.

January 11

Under God's Grace all is well!  God is taking care of it!  Have Faith!

Father, I am trusting.

January 12

It is necessary to reach a state of desirelessness;

Even to the point of not desiring GOD.

How?

By knowing that GOD is our source and supply of all things good.

Any need - Any need;

whether for the awareness of GOD,

or our oneness with GOD;

GOD's truth, love, energy, life, care;

any need is already fulfilled by GOD.

We have no unfulfilled needs

under GOD's grace;

so we have no desire.

January 13

The physical and the spiritual hearts function in the same manner.

Each has receiving and sending chambers and channels.

Each is sustained by what passes through.

In both the flow may be hindered by blocking either the

receiving or sending channels.

January 14

Life is but a journey.  There is no destination.   We just bounce from concept to concept as the ball of a pinball machine bounces from object to object.

January 15

Our lives are only failures when we become so rigid we can no longer move to new concepts and  we become stuck on one idea as totally right.

January 16

I don't believe in horoscopes!

The stars have

a large part in our lives . . . for they, too, are part of God.

But they do not shape our destinies!

We and they

follow our assigned paths as integral parts of God.

January 17

O Christ,

We have hidden Thy joy behind the cross,

Thy love behind the pain and Thy freedom behind our rules.

January 18

FREEDOM

IS ABSTAINANCE

AND PRAYER.

January 19

Time is the energy spent to follow a path from realization to manifestation.

January 20

God is the source of my life; Christ is the substance.

God is the truth of my life; Christ is the reality.

January 21

God is the source of my life, Christ is the substance,

The Holy Spirit is the teacher.

January 22

Faith is no longer needed when you are experiencing GOD.

January 23

How could it be that I have not yet written the most personal analogy of being one with God?

God is in me -- not like a pea in a shell!

But like oxygen is a part of water.

Hydrogen -- unstable -- explosive -- united with oxygen

forms a new substance - water.

Self -- unstable -- explosive -- united with God forms Self  with God in it.

January 24

When I err and violate the Karmic, Mosaic, or natural law I am subject to the consequences of that violation until such time as I surrender my consciousness so completely that the same error can never again be an alternative.

The new consciousness did not and would not commit the original error and therefore does not require forgiveness, as it has done nothing to forgive.

With surrender of the old consciousness comes its death.  The Grace of God is the birth of the new consciousness and my release from bondage to the law.

Grace does not protect us from paying the price.

It protects us from violating the law.

January 25

I have exchanged a conscience for consciousness.

January 26

How often I see reality as a vision and mistake illusions for reality.

January 27

There's no such thing as phony-ness.  When you're in the process of growth you're always growing into the unknown; and if you're being what other people consider phony it's because you are talking yourself through the unknown; hearing places you've never been; and trying to adjust to the unknown.  If there is true phony-ness it is when you pretend to grow but don't demonstrate it!  It is not phony-ness when you are demonstrating what you hope you're going to be when you get through the period of growth.

January 28

WHAT IS LOVE?  Love is a sense of oneness with.

Thou shalt be aware that thou art one with GOD with all thy heart,

strength, soul, and mind.

Matt.  22:37

January 29

And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

     Matt.  22:39

In the same manner as you love yourself ?

or

Love thy neighbor-as he and thee are one; he is thyself!

January 30

The roads I have traveled I had to travel.

The lessons I learned I had to learn.

In order that the "I AM" that I am could be.

January 31

No master owns the slave to any greater extent

than the slave owns the master.
